Paske Piano Studio
Piano Lessons at our two studio locations:
Cedarburg & Hartland, Wisconsin
Chrissy Deal, Piano Teacher & Owner
I am a classically trained pianist with a special interest in helping students learn play their favorite pop songs. Current favorites among my students are Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Queen!
My goal is to give students a solid foundation of musicianship and healthy technique in a positive, nurturing environment.
I have a BA in Music with an emphasis in Piano Pedagogy and continue my studies through private lessons, workshops, participating in The Well-Balanced Pianist Teacher Training Program, and more.
Lessons at Paske Piano Studio
Lessons at Paske Piano Studio typically involve a mix of movement activities, singing, writing, and creating.
We build musical skills from the inside out, drawing from the research and work of The Well-Balanced Pianist, the Taubman Approach, Edwin E. Gordon’s Music Learning Theory, and other fantastic resources I have collected during my 20+ years of teaching.
Two Locations: Cedarburg & Hartland
Lessons are available in my home studio at 3450 Country Aire Drive, Cedarburg, WI or at Waukesha County Conservatory of Music at 1125 James Dr, Hartland, WI.

I will teach my students the art of music in a positive, nurturing environment. My goal is to help students develop a solid foundation of musicianship and healthy technique so they can play the music that is most meaningful to them. I will tailor the curriculum to meet the needs and interests of each student.

Students agree to arrive for lessons on time with their lesson materials (notebook, binder, current music books and/or sheet music). Students and parents are encouraged to ask questions about assignments. We will work together to make a practice plan.
I strongly urge students to keep their fingernails trimmed. Nails that are too long limit a pianist’s movements.
Parents: If something is happening at home or school that is affecting your child, please let me know. The more information I have, the more I can be sensitive to the needs of your child.
-
Students must have a piano to practice at home. A quality, well-maintained acoustic piano is ideal but a quality hybrid or digital piano with 88 weighted keys and a piano-style damper pedal (not a switch pedal) is also acceptable.

Flat monthly tuition rates are based on the number of guaranteed lessons in the calendar year. There will be a minimum of 40 lessons offered by the studio throughout the year. The weeks where lessons are not held (due to holidays, personal performance opportunities, illness, etc.) will be communicated in advance.
Tuition reserves your weekly time slot and includes recitals and lesson materials (music books, workbooks, binder, and notebook).
All payments are non-refundable. After the first payment, invoicing and payment will run automatically on the same day. Tuition will be drawn on the 1st of each month from the method on file. All automatic payments will be run through My Music Staff.
-
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice by text or email is required to receive a make-up credit for cancellation. Make-up lesson credits must be used within 30 days of the missed lesson and are subject to studio availability.
Lessons canceled with under 24 hours’ notice are not eligible for a make-up lesson.
Lessons canceled by me will be given as much notice as possible. Teacher cancellations outside of the guaranteed 40 annual lessons will be rescheduled within 30 days.
Tuition is based on the number of lessons the studio schedules and will not be altered or prorated for student absences.
*A student's spot will not be guaranteed for the fall term if they were not enrolled in lessons during the summer term.
-
In the case of severe weather or other conflicts, lessons may be held online virtually. When virtual lessons are offered, in-person make-up lessons will not be offered. If the student opts out of the virtual lesson that lesson and tuition will be forfeited.
-
To stop lessons and the automatic tuition payments, notice must be received by email by the 15th of the month prior. This also allows for time to plan the most effective way to wrap up our time together.
-
From time to time I use photos and short videos of my students around the studio, on the studio website, or in social media posts. These videos and posts are encouraging to other students and helpful to other teachers. If you do not want your child's image(s) to be used, please let me know. The students are identified only by first name.
